Ben Schlossman

Consultant

Ben read for his integrated master’s degree in biology at the University of Bristol where he specialised in molecular evolution and phylogenetics; using genetic sequence data to reconstruct the evolutionary history of animals and proteins. He remains an Honorary Research Associate at Bristol to complete a journal paper on the evolution of photosensitive opsins in the coming months and has presented his research at two international conferences. During his studies, Ben worked his summers as an Estimator at an MEP construction consultancy. He graduated with First-Class Honours.

Since joining Z/Yen, Ben has been assisting in the running of the busy FS Club webinar programme, including video production, social media and email promotion, graphic design, and administration. Away from Z/Yen, Ben is a keen percussionist and continues to play squash and golf. He co-wrote a photography book on endangered and extinct animals with his father in 2022.
