Wish the dog a bone - Wishbone that is. In July Michael joined the board of AIM-listed Wishbone Gold Plc. Wishbone Gold is an exploration and acquisition company focused on identifying and developing precious metal assets. The founder and Executive Chairman, Richard Poulden, is an old colleague of Z/Yen with a track record of creating value in the resources sector. Richard and Michael were part of the core team that turned Sirius Minerals Plc from a startup in 2005 into a substantial global potash company with a market capitalisation over £200m. Michael has remained on the board of Sirius, while others of the core team have regrouped to develop Wishbone, initially as a consolidator of viable gold resources globally. Wishbone has already acquired two gold concessions in Queensland, Australia that it intends to develop through active exploration. Perhaps all that glitters is not gold, but this team are trying hard again to pull off some good deals for shareholders.
