Dr Paweł Widawski is President of Fintech Poland Foundation. He is a legal expert with 20 years of experience in the financial industry, holds a PhD in Law from the University of Warsaw, and is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Law and Administration.

From 2017 to 2021, Paweł served as Vice President of the Cashless Poland Foundation, where he was responsible for promoting the development of cashless payments in Poland and financial inclusion. He has also held senior positions at the Polish Bank Association, including Director of Payments and Digital Banking Unit. Paweł was a member of the board of the European Payments Council and the Payment System Expert Market Group at the European Commission.

He is a member of the board of the European Digital Finance Association and serves as a member of the supervisory board of PayU SA, leading payment institution in Poland and GPW Privat Market (Warsaw Stock Exchange Group).

In his current role, Paweł is leading the Future Finance Poland initiative, which aims to promote the development of the next generation financial center in Poland.
