Yeandle's Travels: How the Mithai Have Fallen

Mark Yeandle continues to travel the globe, speaking at conferences, meeting foreign dignitaries and working for a number of local governments who are interested in Global Financial Centres, Green Financial Centres or (ideally) both.

Trips so far in 2019 include India, South Korea, Turkey, United Arab Emirates and China.

Whilst in India Mark met the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, who joked with Mark about Brexit.

In fact, everywhere Mark goes at the moment he is asked the same questions about the UK leaving the EU. His stock answer is now, “don’t ask me, I only live there…”

Mark was also fortunate to meet the finance minister of Turkey and the Mayors of Dubai and Busan.

All the team back at HQ receive are some yummy but unhealthy-looking foreign comestibles – South Korean orange chocolates and mithai from Gujarat...
