Speakers
Katherine Wetmur is a Managing Director, the International CIO, and Head of Reliability and Production Engineering (RPE) at Morgan Stanley. As International CIO, Katherine manages the Firm’s diverse international Technology footprint including the Global In-house Centers (GICs). She partners with technology and business management to address regional and local business needs, optimise global efficiency, and help navigate the complex regulatory landscape. As Head of RPE, she leads global production management organisation for the Firm’s Institutional and Corporate businesses. Katherine is a member of the Technology Operating Committee and a member of the EMEA Operating Committee. Katherine started at Morgan Stanley in 2002. She has worked in various roles in Technology mostly focused on Production Management. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Katherine worked as a Chemical Engineer then at the firm Getronics managing projects for Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank. Katherine holds a B.S. in engineering from Rice University. A long-standing champion of diversity, Katherine is the Co-Chair of the Global Technology Diversity Council and a strong supporter of the Firm’s initiatives to foster STEM education and encourage young women to pursue technical careers.
Steve Leads a strategic inward investment team, which leverages the latest advances in Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics, in convincing and supporting Global Financial Companies to locate their growth, expansion, streamlining and transformation projects in Montréal. These projects are in in sync with Canada's core Financial services industry, IT, Fintech and smart automation ecosystems.
