Z/Yen Group is the City of London’s leading commercial think tank promoting societal advance through better finance and technology.  Z/Yen applies its risk/reward methodology for banks, investors, corporate treasuries, information providers, exchanges, insurers, trade associations and alternative risk vehicles.  Z/Yen’s strength is in wholesale finance strategy, intelligence and research.  Z/Yen research interests include operations processing, new risk products (e.g. novel gambling or insurance hybrids), prediction systems, best execution, liquidity estimation, and institutional investment evaluation.  Z/Yen performs benchmarking & performance analysis, strategic planning (outsourcing, re-engineering, relocation), market intelligence & surveys, risk management and change management, as well as special projects such as conversion from building society to banking status or fraud investigations.  Z/Yen has led several industry initiatives from the 1996 launch of Taskforce 2000, the industry response to the millennium bug, to ongoing investment banking global operations costs benchmarks (European securities, US securities, global derivatives processing, global foreign exchange & money markets, operational performance, and clearance & settlement). Working with the Universities Superannuation Scheme and Gresham College, Z/Yen created the Farsight Award for long-term investment research.  Z/Yen created and supports the $15M London Accord, the world’s leading ‘open source’ research cooperative into climate change economics.  Z/Yen created and runs the City of London’s Global Financial Centres Index (see the Members Area for more details).
