Z/Yen successfully assists British Gas through major change.

Risk/reward specialist, Z/Yen Limited, has played a major role in helping British Gas establish the outsourcing of its `legacy' Information Systems.

British Gas is undergoing a major restructuring which involves introducing new computer systems. The existing, or legacy systems, need to be kept running while the handover to the new systems is achieved.

Last summer a contract for managing the legacy systems was awarded to Hoskyns plc.

With only four months to put in place a Contract Management Team, British Gas IS Change Manager Kevin Connolly turned to Z/Yen for help. Kevin recognised that it was essential to have a `core of expertise' who were goal-orientated. Z/Yen was asked to firmly establish the foundations of contract management and help pull together the CMG team.
