The Financial Services Club recently discovered solarisBank in Germany. solarisBank is a tech company with a German banking license. The bank aims to fill a gap in the markets for Fintech and ecommerce firms. Many marketplaces, e-commerce platforms and Fintech companies require close cooperation with banking institutions to enable their core services. However, traditional banks do not have the necessary technology nor the processes to meet the growing demand. solarisBank fill the gap as a partner for companies in the fast-growing digital economy. The company has built an API-accessible banking platform for the needs of the digital economy. Marko was Managing Director of Deutsche Handelsbank specializing in lending to internet companies and providing payment solutions to both on and offline businesses. Marko was also the CEO and founder of GroupPlatina GmbH where he created Sofort Bank, the banking sister of sofortueberweisung.de – Germany's largest e-commerce payment provider. Prior to this, Marko was the COO and a board member of Deutsche Bank PBC S.A ,Poland.
