Chiara joined Z/Yen in July 2010 as a consultant and she is currently managing The London Accord, among other assignments.
After earning a first class honours in International Relations from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva in 2007, Chiara moved to London where she completed an Msc in Environment and Development at the London School of Economics and Political Science in 2009, graduating with distinction. Her dissertation looked at the environmental risks and opportunities of biodiesel production based on the case study of Senegal’s national jatropha programme. Before joining Z/Yen, Chiara was an intern within the Sustainable Development unit of the City of London Corporation. During her time there she did policy research, organised events and managed projects, including the first sustainability performance assessment of the organisation. Previous professional experience involved working with the sponsoring and philanthropy team of a private bank in Switzerland from 2007 to 2008 where she managed projects related to the corporate social responsibility of the firm and conducted research on corporate social responsibility, philanthropy and sustainable development to inform new strategies ; and working for a French NGO in Madagascar in 2006 where she coordinated rebuilding works to rehouse six families after a fire destroyed part of the city of Farafangana. Fluent in English, French and Italian, Chiara is now aiming to master Spanish. Besides her love of travel, Chiara enjoys diving, snowboarding as well as yoga, and given her passion for the arts, she takes particular pleasure in London’s cultural offerings. . |
