Current Surveys

GFCI – The City of London Corporation has launched an independent Global Financial Centres Index (GFCI), and has commissioned Z/Yen to develop and manage the Index.  The GFCI is an ‘index of indices’, based on a number of existing rankings, in combination with a regular survey of senior industry figures.  The Index will be a dynamic product, which will track changing perceptions of cities as financial centres on an ongoing basis.

GIPI – Taylor Wessing, the leading international law firm, has launched an independent Global Intellectual Property Index (GIPI), and has commissioned Z/Yen to develop and manage the Index.  The GIPI gives an up-to-date overview of the IP environment in many of the world's leading economies.  Based on an innovative analysis of an ongoing questionnaire of senior industry figures globally and an array of published empirical data, it provides business leaders, legislators and lawyers alike with an objective assessment of the best and worst jurisdictions to obtain, exploit, enforce and attack particular types of IP.

Sales & Marketing Benchmarking – The Z/Yen Sales & Marketing Benchmark is built up from data supplied by many participants who have completed this survey since 2003. The structure of the survey is designed to explore the allocation of marketing expenditure alongside information on the sales focus of the business.

Past Surveys

London’s Competitiveness as a Financial Centre – This study analyses the key factors that make a financial centre competitive.  It examines perceptions of four leading financial centres, London, New York, Frankfurt and Paris.  The study also assesses how things have changed since a similar Corporation of London study in June 2003.

Anti-Money Laundering – This study assesses the perceived costs and benefits of UK Anti-Money Laundering Requirements (AMLR) compared with other jurisdictions including the USA, Germany, France and Italy.  It also examines how effective AMLR is and what impact the UK AMLR has on the competitive standing of the UK financial services industry.  Research was carried out between September 2004 and April 2005 and involved 34 personal interviews and an online survey to which we received 386 responses.

VCS Insurance Management Club Feasibility Study – Charity Logistics invited Z/Yen Limited (Z/Yen) to deliver a feasibility study for a mutual risk management club to provide insurance to the Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS).  The study was supported and endorsed by the Active Community Unit of the Home Office, the Charity Finance Directors Group, the Institute of Fundraising and the Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations.  The fieldwork for the review was conducted between March 2003 and May 2003.
