Martyn has over 40 years experience in the
Financial Services industry the majority of which has been in Investment Banking
with Top Tier institutions. Martyn has substantial experience of managing
Operations Departments covering a vast range of products and has managed a large
number of diverse projects ranging from key workstreams in global change
programmes to system implementation and process re-engineering.
Martyn also has experience of establishing new businesses including 2 overseas
banks and a consultancy business. During his career he has experience of
managing large teams and also working as a key member of specialised teams.
He has held senior management positions at Merrill Lynch, Daiwa Europe, Bankers
Trust and Deutsche Bank managing operational departments for Foreign
Exchange/Money Markets, Global Custody, Private Banking, ETD and OTC
Derivatives, Bonds/Equities and Commercial Lending and additionally Database
Management and Consultancy Services.
Over this period Martyn has developed strong Project Management skills and has
run a diverse range of projects including, the implementation of CLS, the
implementation of an Operational Risk Framework, Group Balance Sheet validation,
the design, implementation and testing of a BCM process and tactical
cost/headcount reduction projects.
Martyn has worked with the Z/Yen Global Financial Services Practice on a variety
of cross market surveys.
