Kevin works in new product development (NPD), international business management and technology management. His background includes 12 years experience with British Petroleum (BP). In the early 1980s he carried out successful research work on crude oil chemistry. Following that, his career included managing distributors in the Middle East; and technical manager of an international lubricants business, where he was part of the team planning the logistics of moving to a Pan-European organisation in the EC. His last position with BP was in research planning, evaluating markets for new technologies, benchmarking R+D programmes, and advising senior management on technology. A particular concern was a wide-ranging review of the company's NPD process. Since 1993 he has mainly worked with small/medium companies in Britain and Europe. Past clients and customers include companies operating in industrial valves, heating/air conditioning, food, caravans, herbal medicines, chemicals, steel, jute, transport, cement, mining and machine tools. Kevin is a Chartered Chemist, and a Sloan Fellow of London Business School (LBS). He is a member of the British-Slovenian Trade Committee at the London Chamber of Commerce and lectures to LBS classes on Eastern European Trade.
